Included as standard

Support included
in your program.

Every Board & Train includes owner lessons, recorded training, and ongoing support to help you continue the work at home.

Three full owner lessons.

The first lesson is around 2½ weeks, the second around 3–3½ weeks, and the last on Go-Home day. The first two give you hands-on practice while your dog is still with us, with a trainer there to explain, demonstrate, and help you refine your handling.

The footage.

Published sessions are collected in your dog’s playlist. Revisit a recorded exercise to look more closely at the cue, the timing, and the trainer’s response. Bring questions about what you see to your owner lessons or the support line.

A line that stays open.

When something stops working at home, you call or text, and it’s answered by a trainer. There’s no end date on that.

What it costs

Nothing.
And it doesn’t expire.

No 30-day window, no support package, no per-call charge.

If we decide an in-person follow-up session is what your dog needs, that’s free too: we’ll offer it, not wait for you to ask.

During the stay

A plan that
responds to your dog.

We look at how your dog responds across sessions and use that information to guide the work.

When an approach is not helping, we adjust the motivators, environment, level of challenge, pace, or approach. Training is built around The Dog In Front Of Us, with choices that respond to the individual dog.

If we believe your dog needs veterinary assessment, a veterinary behaviorist, or a different management approach, we discuss that with you during the stay so you understand the next step.

After Go-Home day

the main line.

Use the main line for follow-up, so the team can help while your individual trainer may be working with another dog.

Gemma manages the main line and is a dog trainer. Tell her what you are seeing, where it happens, and what you have tried. That context helps the team understand what needs attention.

Gemma can involve the trainer who worked with your dog. Every trainer can see the main line, and she coordinates an appointment when the team determines that hands-on help is needed.

Raising a service concern

A clear path
to an owner review.

Our published policy provides for a full review by the owner of the company when there is a direct issue with our services. Here is how to request one.

  1. 01

    Start with the main line.

Describe the concern to Gemma on the main line. She can help with training questions and contact the team member who worked with your dog.

  2. 02

    Ask for an owner review.

By phone or by email. Say plainly that you’re requesting a review. You don’t need special wording.

  3. 03

    Christian reviews it personally.

Christian considers the footage of your dog’s sessions, notes from the stay, lesson records, and your account of what happened. You get an answer within 14 calendar days. Not an acknowledgement: a decision, with the reasoning.

Available remedies

Follow-up based
on the review.

The payment policy remains non-refundable. Depending on the findings, an owner review can result in the following support at no charge:

Additional owner lessons, free.

More hands-on time with a trainer, aimed at the specific thing that isn’t working.

A refresher stay, free.

Your dog comes back in for focused work, and you don’t pay for it.

Continuing the learning

Practice
with our support.

Your practice at home is an important part of the process. Keep practicing the handling, cues, and routines covered in your owner lessons. Help everyone in the household use them consistently. If something is not working, contact us so we can look at the situation together and identify the next step.

Three owner lessons give you time to practice with us. The published footage and ongoing support help you revisit that learning after your dog comes home.

Clear expectations

Good questions. Clear answers.

Still wondering about something? Read every answer, or call or text (919) 578-2734.

Do you guarantee results?

We do not guarantee a fixed behavioral outcome. Every dog and household is different. Your dog returns to your family, routines, surroundings, and other animals. Continued practice and consistent handling help you carry the learning into everyday life. We teach those skills during your owner lessons and remain available to help afterward.

Can I see the training?

Yes. We record the majority of your dog’s training sessions during their stay. Our longer recordings come from a 360° camera; we select the viewing angle to keep the dog visible without cutting or rearranging the session, then publish the recordings. The footage lets you see the setting, the handling, and how your dog responds across recorded sessions.

What is the payment policy?

Training package payments and monthly payments are non-refundable, and processed payments are final. These terms are set out in our published policies. Please read them and your agreement before your dog’s stay, and bring any questions to your consultation. Your program reserves boarding space and training time, along with the resources used for outings, session recordings, and owner education. Ending a program early does not change the payment policy.
