WHAT MATTERED TO THE FAMILY
A welcome change. A bigger world.
During the go-home lesson, Stormi’s owner remembers crate accidents when Stormi was frightened. She says she is surprised by the change she has seen, and the trainer responds by talking about confidence.
The family’s hopes also reach outside the house. At the first owner lesson, she describes earlier incidents of Stormi running into the street and says she wants to enjoy beach trips and parks together.
She likes seeing Stormi sniff and explore on walks; she also wants her to respond when called. The owner lessons give them time to work through the words, timing, and handling that connect those hopes to daily life.

LEARNING WITH THEIR PEOPLE
In the family’s own words.
Stormi’s owner watches the lesson videos, brings specific questions, and tells her trainer the explanations have been helpful. One useful insight is the release word: she had taught sit and down, but had not used a word to tell Stormi when that position was finished.
“Now I know.”
Her response after explaining that she had not been using a release word.
THE OWNER LESSONS
From the first questions
to practice at home.
Follow the visits in order, with a path into each original recording.
01 · FIRST OWNER LESSON
September 13, 2026
Give the words a shared meaning.
Her owner brings questions from watching the session videos. They discuss how sit continues until release, and she recognises a gap in the words she had been using at home. Later, she says the trainer’s explanations have been helpful.
02 · SECOND OWNER LESSON
September 20, 2026
Her owner takes the leash.
The owner describes how strong pulling had made morning bathroom trips difficult. They talk about room to sniff and explore, then she takes the leash for coached outdoor practice. A long line remains attached while they work through movement and cues.
03 · GO-HOME LESSON
September 27, 2026
Make the lesson work in her home.
Stormi and her owner practise in their own rooms and on their outdoor route. After the coached walk, her owner shares the change she has noticed around the crate. The visit also gives them a next step for walking practice after the handover.
THE LESSON IN EVERYDAY LIFE
A walk has more than one rhythm.
The go-home lesson separates an ordinary walk from the closer heel position. The trainer describes short periods of heel for situations where Stormi needs to stay nearby, with room to explore at other times.
Her owner then practises the position with Stormi. The trainer helps with timing and response, and talks through what to build on over the next week or two. That coaching is part of the handover: the family gets to ask, try, and understand the next step while help is there.
